Manhattan-Ogden Public Schools Foundation

Profile

The Manhattan-Ogden Public Schools Foundation seeks to enrich the public school experience for children and youth within our school district. It is an independent, non-profit organization that receives and administers gifts from citizens, businesses and organizations who wish to contribute financially to the school district.

By working in concert with the school district, the Foundation can maintain educational excellence in Manhattan and Ogden public schools by enhancing the work done by the district and its educators.

Some of the ways in which the Foundation supports the educational system:

Student Opportunities: provides scholarships for current or graduating students as they pursue higher education, through a variety of special funds and donor-directed gifts.

Teacher/Staff Enhancement: supports annual teacher awards and provides special opportunities for professional development which is not ordinarily provided by the school district.

YES Funds: distributes grant money to support after-school activities and programs throughout the district

Teaching Resources Supplement: provides support for special classroom or school projects for students, through an annual fundraiser.

Early Expressions: coordinates an annual celebration of art in the school district recognizing elementary and secondary students and teachers, and raising funds for art programs.
