Meadowlark Hills

Specific Need

Gifts received on April 22, 2022, will support scholarships for current Meadowlark employees who would like to further their education to become licensed practical nurses or registered nurses. Now in its 4th year, Meadowlark’s Nursing Scholarship Program rewards the initiative of talented current employees, while, in the future, providing Meadowlark’s licensed care households with highly trained staff in what appears to be a perpetual nurses shortage. Employees who receive a scholarship agree to work at Meadowlark for at least two years following graduation.

Because of the generosity of 2021 Grow Green Match Day donors, Meadowlark recently was able to award scholarships to three current employees; all or nearly all of their nursing program fees will be covered!

Mission

Meadowlark Foundation provides opportunities for private giving to further the person-directed mission of Meadowlark, a not-for-profit organization enhancing senior lifestyles.

Profile

Meadowlark is more than a nursing home. It offers wellness programs and support services for seniors living in the Flint Hills area, as well as its senior living community, Meadowlark Hills. Undesignated gifts to Meadowlark Foundation benefit the Good Samaritan Fund, which assists Meadowlark residents in healthcare households who have outlived their financial resources. Giving to Meadowlark on Grow Green Match Day is an opportunity to increase our endowment so that we may enrich our programs and services for even greater impact today in the years to come
