Goal: $25,000.00
Mission
To inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
Profile
In 2022 - 2023 school year, the Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan grew programming at our Clubs. We opened our 12th site at Oliver Brown Elementary for before and after school, and we also increased space for our teens by creating a partnership with Manhattan Parks and Rec.
With the help of the Club, families have a safe, fun, and educational place for their children before and after-school, in-service days, and during spring and summer school breaks.
Services provided by the Boys & Girls Club are reduced to ensure affordability for our families.
By the Numbers:
- 1,300 youth served
- 60,526 healthy snacks served
- 44% come from free and reduced
Annual membership (calendar year) $30. This membership fee is waived for children recieving State health insurance and all active and reserve military members.
The cost to the Club is $1,260 per school year per child.
We charge families just $100/ semester or $200 for the school year. For qualifying families, the Club can provide a 50-100% scholarship for programs.
The Club works to make up the difference of the actual cost of the Club with fundraising events, grants, individual and corporate giving, and third party events such as Grow Green Match Day.
Every $1 invested in the Boys & Girls Club returns $9.60 in current and future earnings/cost savings to our community.
Will you help us to make a difference in the youth of our Community?
