Riley County Humane Society

Mission

Improving the lives of companion animals through adoption, education, and support.

Profile

Riley County Humane Society is an is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill animal rescue organization dedicated to the welfare of animals.

Although we do not operate the local city animal shelter, we do work closely with area shelters to promote adoptions. In addition, we have our own animals available for adoption that are cared for by volunteer foster parents. RCHS is supported by public donations and very modest membership dues.

We serve the Manhattan community, including surrounding counties, by providing a variety of programs, including financial assistance to cover veterinary care for low income community members, spay and neuter efforts and assistance, spay/neuter/release for feral cats, and educational programs.

RCHS is dedicated and working towards securing funding for our own facility. This facility would provide low cost spay/neuter and veterinary care for low income community members and would provide RCHS with a shelter facility to increase rescue and adoption efforts.
