Be Able is one of the best investments you can make in our community.

On Grow Green Match Day, your generosity is amplified... your gift is matched at 50%, and every dollar is invested directly into the lives of your neighbors. The return is something powerful: restored dignity, stable housing, meaningful employment, and transformed lives.

This past year has been a landmark one for Be Able.

We successfully launched our supportive housing program on Yuma Street, providing sober-living housing for up to 24 individuals who are working hard to rebuild their lives through employment, accountability, and recovery.

At the same time, our community center continues to serve over 1,100 neighbors each year, offering practical support, life-skills programming, recovery groups, and connections to employment, housing, and healthcare.

And we’re not stopping there.

Our next step is launching the Be Able Academy, a workforce readiness initiative designed to equip individuals with the skills, confidence, and habits needed to succeed in the workplace and build long-term stability.

Mission

Be Able engages with those in adversity by creating connections, cultivating skills, and opening doors of opportunity. We serve the most marginalized in our community, those going through homelessness, unemployment, addictions and mental illness.

Profile

In the midst of the pandemic, on September 1, 2020, we successfully opened a community day center for the underdogs, homeless and for those seeking comfort or employment to help break the cycle of poverty. Disregarded by many, Be Able stands to turn the tide with your support by sharing a space and program open to all. We seek to coach individuals towards their next right steps like gaining employment, securing solid housing and access to mental & physical wellness.
