Beach Museum of Art

Specific Need

The Beach Museum of Art needs your support to continue to bring art and culture to the Manhattan community and especially to continue to offer educational programming for all ages of our citizens. As the only major art museum focusing on the visual treasures of the state of Kansas and the region, the Beach Museum of Art is a critical lifeline between this state's visual legacy of the past to today. Your gift makes it possible for such treasures to remain part of the education of Kansans today and for future generations.

Mission

The Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art furthers the teaching, research, and service missions of Kansas State University by collecting, studying, caring for, and presenting the visual art of Kansas and the region. The Museum’s exhibitions and programs connect regional art, culture, and interests with the larger world.

Profile

Today, the Beach Museum of Art is in its 28th year of operation and enjoys an average annual attendance of just over 30,000 visitors who enjoy free admission and special exhibitions as well as free educational programs for audiences of all ages. The museum is one of only 5 art museums in the state of Kansas accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.
