Mission

The Flint Hills Discovery Center Foundation functions to advance the mission and work of the Flint Hills Discovery Center through dynamic and vibrant development programs which identify, cultivate, solicit and express appreciation to donors of the Foundation.  The Foundation seeks gifts in support of the Flint Hills Discovery Center, including capital, endowments, deferred gifts and special program support.

Profile

The Foundation is the charitable arm of the Flint Hills Discovery Center. The Foundation engages donors whose contributions enable the Discovery Center to provide programs and services which advocate for and advance the preservation and conservation of the Flint Hills.  One way that this is done is through the Flint Hills Discovery Center Youth Education Endowment. This endowment is for youth education program uses only.

Goal of the Endowment: To raise $1,000,000 in order to establish a permanent endowment that would sustain Flint Hills Discovery Center youth programming and events in perpetuity.  The funds will be used to expand, continue and improve the Flint Hills Discovery Center opportunities to inform youth about this unique region whether they live in the area or have travelled here to enjoy the benefits of Manhattan and the surrounding Flint Hills region.
