At Konza United Way, we are committed to supporting local families and building a stronger, more resilient community. In Riley County, 53% of families are ALICE—Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. These are hardworking individuals and families who struggle to afford basic necessities like housing, childcare, healthcare, and transportation.

Your Match Day gift helps us provide critical resources and support to ALICE families, ensuring they have access to the tools they need to thrive. Together, we can create lasting change and give every family the opportunity to succeed.

The United Way 211 service provides individuals and families in need with a shortcut through what can be a bewildering maze of health and human service agency phone numbers. By simply dialing 211, those in need of assistance can be referred, and sometimes connected, to appropriate agencies and community organizations.

Dialing 211 helps direct callers to services for, among others, the elderly, the disabled, those who do not speak English, those with a personal crisis, those with limited reading skills, and those who are new to their communities.

2024 Needs Met include a total of 820 calls with the top needs identified as:
- Utility Assistance, Rent Payments Assistance, Food Pantries, Homeless shelter, Communicable Disease Control
