Many Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation patients and their families have expressed gratitude for the staff and facilities at Ascension Via Christi Hospital Manhattan. In recognition, some have asked how they can support the program in reaching more community members, improving patients' lives, and upgrading recovery equipment.

The Manhattan Community Health Foundation is partnering with the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation program at Ascension Via Christi Hospital Manhattan for Grow Green Match Day to raise awareness and funds for the program.

Contributions are valuable as they help the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation program provide community education, respond to unanticipated opportunities to assist patients in their recovery and purchase new exercise equipment.

Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Community Education - Community members can benefit from learning about heart and lung health topics. Your contributions can help share this information.
Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Patient Scholarships - Some patients can not complete or do not complete at least 12 sessions of Cardiac or Pulmonary rehabilitation due to their insurance plan co-pay. The co-pays can be anywhere from $10-30 per session or $120-$360 for 12 sessions. Your contribution will provide a scholarship to complete their recommended rehabilitation.
Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Recovery Equipment - A plan to replace exercise equipment. Your contribution will accelerate this plan by making it possible to update the offerings. To give you an idea of the cost of replacing commercial recovery equipment:
- Treadmill cost - $5,700-6,600 each
- Seated Stepper cost - $6,600-10,000 each
- Elliptical - $4,640-5,000 each
