Be Able is the best investment you will make all year. On Grow Green Match Day, not only will your generosity be matched at 50%, but every dollar you donate will be invested into the lives of your neighbors where the return can be exponential. What has Be Able been up to lately?

1. We are so excited about the strides we have recently made towards Supportive Housing. Through the generosity of our community, we have acquired 3 properties: 514, 518 and 522 Yuma Street, just a stones throw away from Be Able Community Center. This year, we will put in the effort to renovate these properties and develop a supportive housing program capable of housing 16 individuals... Leading them from the street to success!

2. We are also pleased to report that the renovation to add showers, laundry facilities and bathrooms to our current location have been paying off. These facilities have given the gift of dignity to our neighbors. Each day, they are being utilized and giving individuals a newfound motivation to pursue a better life.

Mission

Be Able engages with those in adversity by creating connections, cultivating skills, and opening doors of opportunity. We serve the most marginalized in our community, those going through homelessness, unemployment, addictions and mental illness.

Profile

In the midst of the pandemic, on September 1, 2020, we successfully opened a community day center for the underdogs, homeless and for those seeking comfort or employment to help break the cycle of poverty. Disregarded by many, Be Able stands to turn the tide with your support by sharing a space and program open to all. We seek to coach individuals towards their next right steps like gaining employment, securing solid housing and access to mental & physical wellness.
