The Coronado Area Council of Scouting America is dedicated to ensuring that every young person has access to the life-changing benefits of Scouting—regardless of financial circumstances.

Funds raised on Grow Green Match Day support camperships, program scholarships, outdoor adventure opportunities, and long-term sustainability through the Council’s endowed fund.

Financial assistance helps remove barriers so youth can participate in Scouting programs, attend summer camp, and access leadership development opportunities. By investing in our local Scouts, donors help build character, confidence, and a lifelong commitment to service.

Every gift on Grow Green Match Day directly supports youth in our community while strengthening Scouting for generations to come.

Mission

The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

As the local council serving North Central and Northwest Kansas, the Coronado Area Council delivers high-quality Scouting programs across 32 counties, providing youth with opportunities for outdoor adventure, leadership development, hands-on learning, and community service.

We are committed to supporting every pack, troop, crew, and post through strong volunteer leadership and professional staff, ensuring every Scout receives a safe, engaging, and meaningful Scouting experience.

Every dollar donated on Grow Green Match Day helps ensure Scouting remains accessible for all Riley County families.

On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, eligible gifts made through the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation will receive a 50% match, up to $7,500, growing our endowment and expanding our ability to serve youth today and into the future.
