Ecumenical Campus Ministry (ECM)

Goal: $25,000.00

Specific Need

We are currently needing financial support to revitalize ECM.  We are revitalizing our space to be a place where K-State Students want to come to while providing meaningful programs for them.   Three of these programs are:

Free Meals: Sunday Night Chapel & Dinner  and Friday Lunch Real Food Lunch (RFL): 40% of K-State students face food insecurity so every Friday during the K-State Spring and Fall semester, ECM hosts a free lunch.  We will be starting in the Fall Sunday Night Chapel & Dinner for Students.

Internships:  ECM is committed to providing a job-ready environment where an intern can explore their passions in preparation for finding
jobs after college. As a result of their position, students will have references, experience collaborating with team members, and
job transferable skills. We are looking for a student who cares deeply about faith, sustainability and community-building.

Retreats: Designed to inspire and empower, our retreats provided space and opportunities to see and understand the pain and suffering in the world via both physical labor (such as cleaning, landscaping, or sorting food) and relational experiences (such as providing hospitality and
friendship to our neighbors living on the margins). We offers room to practice being compassionate people in the world. ECM is intentional to guide students as they reflect on their immersion experiences, the Scriptures, and their own beliefs, and then help them to express their thoughts and feelings creatively.  The retreats are a means by which students are made aware of the injustices in the world, how those injustices happen, how they keep happening, and how God is calling everyone to change things. The retreats aim to help youth transform how they see themselves, the world, and their role in it. The vision is that because of the ministries provided, lives are changed. Communities are changed. The Church is changed. The world is changed.
